Sony DVP-FX720 Review
Posted on June 25th, 2008
Sony DVP-FX720, portable DVD player
When we say that the Blu-ray still lacks enough to impose (if at all and is not defeated by digital downloads) and the DVD that he is quite life ahead we do not do this lightly. Sony itself feels the same way and therefore throws devices like the Sony DVP-FX720, a portable DVD player.

It has a 7-inch widescreen display, where you can watch movies in this format or in DivX but also is compatible with audio CDs, MP3 music and photos, we can upload through CDs or through its USB port from cameras or from external disks.
It includes integrated speakers, plus two headphone outlets to use two people at the same time and comes with a remote control and an adapter to connect to the car battery.
Without knowing the price I wonder if it does not make much more sense to buy a ultraportable, which probably will have a price and a screen of similar size and that helps us a lot more.

Special technologies defeated: MiniDisc
Sony recovery in our special technologies defeated and we are going to the field of audio, with the MiniDisc, a format that even today has enough followers, but which was never succeed in bulk.

As the Digital Compact Cassette, was an attempt to replace cassette tapes to digital format. Sony announced this in 1991 and went on sale in early 1992.
The MiniDisc is a form similar to that of a floppy with a size of 6.8 x 7.2 x 0.5 inches, with an outer casing which serves as protection with a sliding door and stored on the disc inside. It uses magneto-optical technology to store data.
The material is heated by a laser so that it becomes programmable via a magnetic field, which alters the polarity to record data. This allows rewritable discs up to a million times. To read only the laser is used.

Posted on June 22nd, 2008
Polaroid Freescape 4360, media player
Perhaps the Polaroid Freescape 4360 we reached Spain, now that Polaroid here brings its consumer technology. If so, we will see a music player and video that depicts interesting.

With a 4.3-inch screen, which offers a somewhat fair resolution of 480 x 272 pixels, we can play music in MP3 and WMA, video in MPEG-4 and WMV and photos in JPG, in addition to tune the FM radio. It has Wi-Fi connectivity, with which we can do streaming from our computer.
Its capacity is 60 GB and has a TV output, so if the price is right (is rumoured that could leave a little over 250 euros), could compete well with products from Archos. Of course, these take time already on the market and have a system and an interface rather than proven, another area in which it will verify the operation of this Polaroid Freescape.

Onda VX676, panoramic player
Although both the iPhone and iPod touch are good players and allow you to view video comfortably, for some the fact that the format is 16:9 screen is not an impediment to enjoying series and movies full screen. The Onda VX767 can be a good option for them.

We talked, in this case, a simple player, unlike the Apple incorporating many options as web browsing, contacts, … Its screen is 4.3 inches and, as we have said, has a 16:9 format with which offers a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels.
It supports a lot of video formats, including AVI, FLV, ASF, MOV, MP4, WMV, MPG 3GP and, in addition to MP3, WMA, APE and FLAC for audio. As additional features we display pictures, FM radio tuner, voice recording, and some games.
Onda VX676 Review
Not incorporates internal memory, but uses microSD card, supporting a maximum size of 32 GB, and its battery offers a range of 40 hours on audio playback and video playback in 10.

Mpio V10 Review
Posted on June 20th, 2008
Mpio V10 with widescreen and touch
Mpio V10 is the next player of the brand that comes to light, and like other models in this company, the design enters the eyes. But what makes the promotional images, because then in hand, as will be seen in a video below, things are normalized.

The player Mpio V10 is its most remarkable display of 3 inches and 480×272 pixels resolution, which is kind of tactile and panoramic. And compatibility with video and audio formats is another of its strengths, since it is virtually codec that is not able to reproduce: AVI, WMV, ASF, MP4, DivX, DAT, VOB, TS, XviD, MPG / MPEG, MP3, WMA, AAC, OGG, PCM (WAV), JPEG, BMP, GIF, PNG, SMI and TXT.
The space that we have to store content is 8 GB, but have not limited and have placed a slot for SD cards. Point also in favour of this player who has TV output and FM radio tuner.
Works with Windows CE 5.0 and autonomy leaves us up to 5 hours of video viewing.
If you’ve been wanting to know something more about this player Mpio V10, you leave with a video in which not much is understood, but that shows the player in pictures:
