Walgreens Want Biggest LED Billboard

Walgreens Want Biggest LED Billboard

Walgreens is often a name associated with a friendly neighborhood store, but they too want a slice of prime time action in Times Square by installing the largest LED advertising billboard there, taking up to 12 million LEDs that make up a whopping 17,000 square feet of space - that’s over a third of an acre. The sign itself is able to pump out enough candlepower to shrug off the dreaded high noon sunlight that will turn smaller LED billboards into blurry images. There will be a total of 13 trillion programmable colors, although I don’t think we’ll ever get to see the entire amount displayed simultaneously. I wonder what Walgreens will advertise there - their weekly specials?

EarthLED EvoLux R LED Light Bulb

The EarthLED EvoLux R LED light bulb is not your grandpappy’s light bulb, as it is touted to be the “world’s most advanced light bulb.” How did it manage to arrive at such a proud conclusion? For starters, it comes with a 13 watt LED at its heart, offering an equivalent output of a 100 watt incandescent bulb, as well as the EvoDim feature which allows you to choose between three different output settings of 250, 750, and 950 lumens respectively, all without the need for a dedicated dimmer switch. These light bulbs will probably grace the homes of well-lined pockets considering the $100 price tag attached to each, and the company claims that the price works out to under $6 annually before it gives up the ghost. Non-dimmable versions go for $80 a pop.

Samsung working on new Q1 UMPC

Samsung working on new Q1 UMPC

Guess Samsung has not ditched the Q1 UMPC idea just yet, as its engineers are hard at work on a second revision. Samsung won’t introduce anything revolutionary, but will instead build on the existing platform with a revamp of internal parts. Needless to say, we can look forward to faster and more spacious specifications, with perhaps some improvement to the current form factor. Word on the street has it that Samsung will be rolling out the third version of the Q1 UMPC at the beginning of 2009. Do you think this is a dead end for Samsung, or are they really on to something here?

Apple drops production of iPhone, 3G model on the horizon

Apple drops production of iPhone, 3G model on the horizon

Jobs y el iPhone
Good news for those who are waiting for that iPhone 3G, which I was expecting at least some official information in this MWC 2008. But no.

Some analysts for the network who are saying that Apple is reducing the production of both the iPhone and the iPod Touch. From this information, together with some comments from executives of AT & T have confirmed that they have improved the infrastructure in the United States to offer greater coverage 3G, analysts commented that the reason is the 3G iPhone, already prepared and ready for production and subsequent sale here a few months.

However, the reasons that Apple is producing at a lower rate may be different: on the one hand, it is possible that the Cupertino maker has plenty of stock to feed the market for a few months. It could also ruled that 3G iPhone also has declined since the production of Touch, which unless you launch a second generation player touch with 3G, would have no logic. Any change in both hardware models?. There is another option, a joint launching of new products ready for networks in Europe and Asia, where 3G technology is used much more than in the United States, but let me who doubts that the Touch bring 3G in the near future.

And one or 4G WiMAX?. Ojala, but were discarded because the final standards have not yet been developed. And with an iPhone that APX 2500?. For now all speculation without foundation official. As always, we will have to wait.

Archos release a player with 3G connectivity

What makes a fair Archos mobile? The most we approach this French manufacturer of communications is through the possible VoiP in their players with WiFi. But what if we could use that kind of communication where we want although there were no WiFi coverage?

archos_405_3-4.jpg
Or maybe able to surf the Internet and buy music that we are where we want, or listen to Internet radio and similar services? Do I want to take and where to go?

Well, yes, Archos has announced an agreement with French operator SFR to equip its future models generation 6 players, who will arrive before the end of the year, connectivity and 3G HSDPA.

Of course, think of a player who becomes a mobile phone is almost necessary. Will we have an iPhone killer not where we thought?

Players DUO MP4 Energy System

Players DUO MP4 Energy System

Energy System has not missed an opportunity to draw new models of its players face a week of Valentine’s Day. The MP4 player is very socorrido for these occasions, and new models that mark the emerging market with dual headphone output, so it seemed perfect for this occasion. Nor have forgotten the front speakers, who normally do not usually offer a remarkable audio quality. The only people who have succeeded have been the Samsung K5.

They were also renewed his face to give more colors (the bad thing is that each color represents a capacity) and a more youthful appearance. And above intrauditivos comes with headphones, which is always welcome.

These are some MP4 players that support video formats including Xvid and software to adapt to the same screen size, but this being of 1.8 inches, we can just enjoy the videos rather than whether they are musical. For photos or to see the lyrics may be a good idea.

N99 could arrive tomorrow

N99 could arrive tomorrow

They are not exactly rumors but rather speculation, but I think in Xataka raise interesting because after the comments at the entrance on the Nokia N96, another potential phones that will be presented in Barcelona tomorrow, have been wanting to divagar a while about what they can be the evolution of Nokia finally presented estso terminals and increasing touchscreens at subsequent models.

It could be because these terminals recent signature of his Finnish Nseries not having touchscreen. Therefore, after the Nokia N96, N95 logical evolution of design with a more stylized, more internal memory and TV tuner, it would not be unreasonable that one of its terminals last progressed beyond fashion before hosting the iPhone.

The Nokia N99 could have a screen with VGA resolution, internal memory, 16 GB more microSD card slot, playback in divx and H.264, and many improvements in the field of video recording and taking pictures.

The second aspect could have a six-megapixel camera, optical zoom, image stabilizer, continuous autofocus and dual LED lighting system and xenon. The video recording came with a catch and H.264 with potential microphones doubles.

Finally, the design is known nothing but the logical, with video features to be presumed, is that adpte the shape of the Nokia N93. Tomorrow more.

Charger hybrid Incas, for home and car

To avoid having to carry two different chargers, Incase has just launched to market the 2-in-1 Car & Wall, a charger for the iPod (Nano, and Classic Touch) and Apple iPhone.

It is compatible with power outlets continuously for 12 and 24 volts of cars, and with any AC wall socket in the world. It has a retractable cord of 1.52 meters, LED current state of charge and available in a single color, black.

Its selling price is 40 dollars, so far only available for americas and the American plug (although this would not be a problem since adapters are very cheap in almost any store electricity). Do we really need you?. I always I have to load my player to plug in the computer, and the little time I spend driving course that I would not be worthwhile.

Incase, cargador híbrido
